Community Preservation Funds Approved for Four Historic Town Sites

Article 8 authorized the expenditure of Community Preservation Act (CPA) funds for four distinct historical preservation projects across Pembroke. Lisa Cullity, Chair of the Community Preservation Committee (CPC), presented the recommendations, which were voted on individually and all passed with majority support.

The approved projects include $11,000 for roof and door repairs at the First Church Sewing Circle, $20,000 for repairs to the Friends Quaker Meeting House, $6,000 for a new gutter system at the Historical Society Museum, and $30,000 for painting and repairs at Bethel Chapel. These allocations are specifically reserved for historic preservation and do not impact the general operating budget.

Motion: To approve CPC Recommendations A, B, C, and D as presented in Article 8.
